We are now in the season of Lent, a time of soul searching, reflection and repentance
The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and concludes on Saturday of holy Week, Easter Eve. In this period of forty days we examine ourselves and our communion with God. From Palm Sunday until Holy Saturday we have Holy week, the week of events that lead to our Saviours crucifixtion on the cross on Good Friday. Joseph of Aremathea takes the body of Jesus and lays it in the tomb. After three days in the tomb, Jesus rises triumpant over death on Easter Sunday.
