A.M.S stands for Anglican Men's Society
WHAT DOES THE SOCIETY DO?
The Society provides opportunities for men to join in Christian Witness,
Fellowship and Service with each other and with other men of the Anglican church
WHO MAY BECOME MEMBERS?
All men of the Anglican Church
The Society has a Rule of Life
In the power of the Holy Spirit,
To pray to God every day,
To be a faithful communicant,and by active Witness, Fellowship and Service
to help forward the Kingdom of Christ
HOW IS AMS ORGANISED?
By Parish based branches with the concurrence of the incumbent. There are Diocesan, Provincial and National Councils
WHY FORM A BRANCH IN YOUR PARISH?
To bring men together in Witness, Fellowship and Service AMS provides a nucleus of committed men able to promote and assist with Parish activities.
DOES THE PARISH PRIEST HAVE A ROLE?
The Parish Priest is the branch President (ex-officio) and Chaplain
WOULD THE BRANCH BE CONTROLLED BY A RIGID CONSTITUTION?
No! Each AMS branch is autonomous: the members are free to conduct their branch and their activities in a manner that suits their own needs

HOW CAN A BRANCH BE FORMED?
Within your Parish you can
1. discuss the idea with your parish Priest
2. Seek advice from the diocesan Executive of the Society
3. Call a meeting of interested men
4. Make a decision
5. elect you executive officers.

THE SOCIETY.
The Society is a fellowship of Churchmen who accept the Rule of Life and seek to live out the Chri9stian Faith in brotherhood with each other. The Society functions with the Clergy in the Ministy of the Church.
AMS MISSION
The mission of the Society is a Christian Ministry to men. The Society seeks to bring men to faith in Christ in the fellowship of the Church.
